Artist's Comments

This trio of Black Veined Whites was still getting warm in the early morning on the top of a hill near the Viroin Valley, in the province of Namur, Wallonia, Belgium. It was a wonderful sight to me to see these three butterflies of a species I had rarely seen before on the same flower together.

Aporia crataegi
Black Veined White
Groot geaderd witje

Disappeared in Flanders since 1966.
Status in Wallonia: vulnerable.

This one's for my homie ~FLuKee. His macro gallery is a must-see!

Advanced critique encouraged.

Thank you!

Merci maat. Het gaf een ongelooflijke kick, die drie samen aan één stengel..
